The Exhibition, ‘When the Iron Bird Flies’ was the result of art workshops given by Simone Sandelson to Tibetan children living in exile. It gave them a voice through their paintings,o recall their memories of home and to raise awareness of the plight of young Tibetans who are sent away so that they can practice their religion and culture without fear of persecution.
